• I screamed as loud as I could.

"What, Lidia?" Mom asked, her eyes turned up with concern. "The doll g-g-grined at me!" I whined, tears stinging my eyes. "Lidia, no doll could grin at you." Mom said sternly. She turned to Kati. "Give me the doll." Mom said, putting her hand out. Kati put the doll in mom's hand. The doll had the same expression as it did since we found it; a cute no-evil smile.

"I'm going back inside with your mother. We'll keep the doll, agreed?" Dad said, walking torwards his house. "Uglied....." Kati said. "Kati, it's agreed, not uglied. Bye sweetie, love ya." Mom said, catching up with dad and walking into the house.

"Come on, Kati. It's lunch time." I said, motioning with my hand to the door. Kati nodded her head and trailed herself to my house. She stopped at the stairs. "Kati, come on. I'm not carrying you up the stairs, you're a big girl." I said. "I know, but I'm not hungry!" Kati shouted, stamping her foot. "Fine, I don't care. Just don't ask me for pumpkin pie later, because I'm eating it all!" I said, smiling a little. "Punkin pie?!? Not my punkin pie! Keep your hands off my punkin pie!" Kati shouted, shooting her self up the stairs. My eyes seemed to twinkle. "Ok, big girl. Let's go get some 'punkin pie'." I giggled, picking Kati up and walking into my house.

Kati ate pretty good. I thought it was time for her dessert. "Here's your pumpkin pie with pumpkin ice cream, brown sugar, whipped cream, and cherries." I said, putting her slice down and looking out the window. I screamed. I saw Kati's doll in our window. I began to cry. Kati just comepletely ate her whole slice. I got myself a slice with the same stuff and started eating it. "Ya klow, bleing scfared iln't alf zat bhad!" I said with my mouth full. I mean't to say, "You know, being scared isn't all that bad!"

Kati giggled. "You said something wrong!" She said. I swallowed my pie bite and smiled. "I know. I said that because I saw your doll out our window." I said. I knew Kati would get scared, so I instantly regretted it. But as I said it, I saw the doll slowly trying to break into the window with it's little fists.
