Who knew that the Ice Queen would've ever found interest in me, Kiyoshi Yamato, who was considered shy, clumsy, and a wimp? On the other hand, the Ice Queen, Mitsuki Hoshizawa, was known as elegant, icy cold and never-to-be-afraid-of-anything. I had always thought the Ice Queen was scary and dark, so I never really thought about her that way. That is, until I found out about her dark past. She seemed to open up to me, and I listened to her every time. As time passed, I gradually became closer to her. Finally, one day, she confessed her feelings to me. At first, I was a little surprised at her confession, and told her I didn't feel the same and said I only thought of us as "just friends". After her confession and my rejecting her, we just stopped hanging out together. Mitsuki avoided me every time we would cross paths. Without Mitsuki, it just seemed strange now. I missed her. That's when I realized my feelings for her. I loved her. After school that day, I brought her to an old abandoned factory to tell her. Man, was I stupid. I made the biggest mistake of my life bringing her to an abandoned factory. I was such an IDIOT for doing that. I only wish I could fix this mistake, but I couldn't. When I brought the Ice Queen to the factory, I dragged her inside. After calming her down and apologizing for dragging her out here, I told her my feelings. I. LOVE. YOU. At first, Mitsuki didn't say anything; she just stood there, staring at the ground. Finally, after what seemed like forever, she looked up from the ground and smiled at me. She told me she was glad that I loved her and not hate her for confessing to me. As she said this, I smelled a hint of smoke. I looked around and saw three gangsters running pass while laughing and I realized that they had set the factory on fire. The fire was spreading quickly, so I grabbed Mitsuki's wrist and ran as fast I could around all the rusty old crates. Just as we saw the exit, a big block of wood came crashing down on my leg. I desperately pulled at it, wincing at the pain I felt on my leg. The wood was too heavy. Mitsuki stopped and tried pulling the wood. The fire was rapidly spreading to us; it was at least a few feet from us now. Finally, we pushed the piece of wood off. I crawled forward. Then I heard a loud CRASH! Turning my head around, I saw that pieces of the building had came crumbling down, surrounding Mitsuki in the blazing fire. She knew what she had to do. Turning her gaze over to me, her tears rolled down her cheeks. She yelled at me to get out. At first, I was willing to stay here and die with her. But I then realized she wanted me to go. I stared at her one last time, and then rushed out to as far I could go. From the distance, I sat there and stared, teary-eyed. BANG! The building blew up, spewing out parts of the factory. Staring in horror, I did the only thing I could. I shut my eyes and wept for the girl who I had fallen in love with, ignoring the voices, sirens, and everything else in the world.
