• It happened, after years of waiting it finally happened, I was leaving that hellish place and I would never have to see it again. I stood next to chairman Cross, as he fumbled through his coat pockets trying to find his keys. He gave up and knocked on the door, which was soon answered by a girl with huge bright auburn brown eyes and dark brown hair. While staring at her my eyes met another pair. A silver haired boy with cold lilac misty eyes gazed at me so intensely it made me want to disappear. Introductions were exchanged and I soon learned the girl's name was Yuuki, and the boy's name was Zero. "Zero why don't you show Shiomi around," the chairman suggested, which made the boy frown, but despite whatever protest he had, Zero agreed and led me up the stairs, showing me all the rooms, and then finally he brought me to my room, which was right across from his. "I hope you enjoy it," he hissed at me then left me with my stomach in knots and one recurring thought running through my head, 'He didn't want me here.' I inhaled the aroma the room was giving off, and almost felt like I was high on some kind of drug. Dragging my tired body, I sauntered to the bed, and collapsed on it, burying my nose into the sheets, which smelled even better. My eyes grew heavy, and soon they slipped shut, and I found myself in a world where no one would hold me in contempt, like they used to.

I shifted in the soft warmth that wrapped itself around me, and I found comfort in the relief that I felt wash over me, when I woke up in the chairman's house and not the asylum. I was afraid it would've all been a dream. My eyes fluttered open and the first thing to greet me were the pair of curtains dancing in the breeze. To me they almost looked like sad ghosts, lost mournful spirits. I let my eyes drift shut for a moment, until I felt a heavy weight press on the edge of the bed. My eyes met the familiar yet mysterious eyes of a familiar face.
"You missed dinner," Zero stated calmly. "I told the chairman that you were asleep, and he told me to let you sleep." I shrugged indifferently not really feeling hungry, Zero's eyes follow-
ed me, I tried to ignore the shiver coursing through my spine, his eyes seemed different now, almost gentle and compassionate or maybe it was all in my head. "You know when," he paused to clear his throat, "I first came here," as his lips moved in a faint murmur, there was a quiver in them, "I didn't talk much either." Zero took a moment to stare at me, but I remained silent. "it took me about a week to talk, but," his voice trailed off I felt his hand squeeze my shoulder, "it might take you little longer." He rubbed my shoulder soothingly, "This place won't be like your old home...I guarantee it..."
