• As Joanna sat under the tall cheery blossom tree in the arms of her love,Micheal.
    she could not stop her tears from falling. "I don't wanna lose you." she cried. he kisses her gently on the lips. "Promise you'll always love me." she says. he pulls out a fake flower.
    "Until this rose dies I'll always love you." he says. she forces a smile and he kisses her.
    Micheal's friends started to honk the horn of the car. "We're gonna be late!" Jon yells to him.
    Micheal places on his civil war hat. he turns to Joanna. Joanna sheds a tear. "I love you." he says. he gives her the fake rose. Cherry blossom petals start to fall out of the tree.
    Joanna pushes a strand of her blond hair behind her ears. As Micheal walks off towards the car she yells to him "I love you!" he turns back to her. Tips his hat and gets into the car. Joanna watches as they drive off getting smaller and smaller. "Come back to me my love." she whispers.

    Twelve years later. Joanna is working in a bakery store. her son Jacob is outside the bakery playing with his friends. Joanna watches him and he reminds her of her husband,Micheal.
    His dark hair. his beautiful green eyes. his smile. Jacob had all those things
    it had been three years since she had heard of her husband. she wasn't worried. she tried not to worry. Micheal promised he would return to her safe.
    she couldn't help but blame the war for taking him away from her.

    later that night Joanna had a dream that Micheal would return soon and they would have a second wedding. she dreamed she was in a beautiful white gown and he in a wonderful tux. Everyone stood and smiled as she walked by. Micheal stood in the front handsome as always smiling back at her.
    she wakes up to a knock on the door.
    Joanna walks towards the door and opens it. Jacob runs to her side. There stood a man in what looked like a war uniform. he had a letter in his hands.
    "Can i help you?" Joanna asked. he tips his hat.
    "Good day to you ma'am, i was asked to deliver this to you personally." he hands her the letter. "Is there something wrong?" she opens the letter and reads it slowly. she felt like her whole heart was ripped out from her insides. she drop the letter. Jacob picks it up and reads it aloud.
    "We are sorry to inform you that Micheal Henry Parker has died. he left this world peacefully and we are very sorry. he was a wonderful soldier and will be missed.
    we are very sorry that he is gone."
    Joanna takes the letter from her son. "Whats wrong,Mother?" he asked.
    Joanna was in tears. The man walks off without another word.
    "You promised you'd come back to me!" Joanna screams in tears.

    Two weeks later Joanna is walking towards Micheal's coffin. she's in tears.
    Everyone has there heads bend down. some are in tears. some are not.
    Joanna slowly kisses her husbands lips. A tears falls on his face.
    "You promised you'd come back to me,Micheal, you promised." she says.
    she suddenly has a flash back about the fake rose. "Until this rose dies, I'll always love you." Joanna remembers his words. she dries her tears. "I'll see you again someday, My love."
