Lee's Journal
The moon shined on cobblestone streets and that is where I found someone quite interesting on the ground. It was a girl with skin of white;
she had jet black strands of hair and wore a white under garment, light gray full length kimono, dark purple hakama pants and waraji sandals. When I found her laying there unconscious
I took her to a place that where I knew she’d be safe. Things have gotten worse with this system of government, the people of this world seem like they've faded away, vanished into emptiness...
A girl seemed to awaken in an unfamiliar place and the lint the candle on the nightstand as she got up from the covers of the bed. She saw a faint stream of light coming from the next room.
My pen stopped, I closed my eyes as I moved fingers through my hair. Silence filled the room with a cold feeling. Then my eyes opened you could hear a knock on the door. I turned my head to the left and the door creaked open. It was the girl in doorway, she spoke with a soft but still at same time clam tone, what do you want with me? I said nothing rose from my chair and faced the direction of the door. Freedom I said as the girl edged closer to me. If I may ask who you are she questioned.
Who am I? I pondered this for a moment then said this I'm a man lost in shadows. The girl understood. I continued my name is Lee She felt no matter for self-defense toward me now.
I asked for her name the girl didn’t speak to others that often. She approached me and said Pat. So it is her from so many years ago.
Pat’s eyes lids opened to find Lee by her side poring Gyokuro tea into cup on the nightstand.
Sunlight brightens through bedroom as Lee handed her the cup. The fragrance was sweet and overwhelming.
Pat drank the tea and up from the bed covers.
Pat: You said that you wanted to show me something.
Lee: Of course.
Lee held her hand and led the way down stairs and stopped in his old study
Pat glazed at a painting on the wall of young woman in a kimono sitting down holding a Japanese umbrella above a wooden desk with his uncle’s diary on it.
Pat: Who was she?
Lee: My mother and this is my uncle’s Château.
Pat and Lee faced the large mirror in the center of left wall between two book cases.
The glass opened like a door and closed behind them, it seemed like a different realm of a dark fantasy.
A middle aged man carrying two tonfa swords on his back in the local tavern curiously glanced at the bottle of red wine behind bartender.
The man: Hey, buddy can I see that red bottle behind you?
Bartender: Sure.
The man: Where did you get this?
Bartender: Well, a few years ago from the large Château over the hill.
Rumor is that the family living there died off after a young girl was kidnapped on the property.
Why do you ask?
The man: Oh, No reason just curious.
He stared at the bottle in his hands.
Victoria's spirit: Pat do you remember? said in whisper.
Pat's eyes widened as she heard Victoria’s quiet but exact voice then she felt all tonfa sword marks spread across stone floor. Lee helped her up and pointed his lantern to the wall of wine shelves in front of them. Pat held the lantern as Lee turned one of scarlet red bottles.
Lee: These stairs lead to the stable your horse is content.
Pat: Lee?
Lee:...
Pat: Do you still remember that day?
Lee: That was a long time ago.
We'll talk about this later, you need your rest.
Pat: They are coming for me.
Pat clutched the amulet she wore in her right hand.
