- Skye wakes lucid but yet confused. There she is, having breakfast with the Shaman, awaiting punishment upon leaving, him answering some of her questions but still there is so much Skye doesn’t understand. The room around her is lit but the candle is fading. The bed sheets are made from sewn rose petals bewitched by the shaman to never brown. Her walls are as she remembers them from the last morning she can recall. Her memories of the encounter with the Shaman are fading like a dream… Was it a dream? Skye is unsure. It seems real but fake at the same time. What time is it? She’s confused. Her conversation with the Shaman is hazy now, but she still remembers the spirits. Only once before has she heard of them, but that was in a tale. Were they true? If they were, that means the Shaman does use magic. That he does talk with the spirits and they offer him wisdom, friendship and something else she can’t remember. Excitement starts to pulse through her. She knows of the stories of the fairies. The elders had always said they were apart of the stories to teach the littlies the lessons of life. They said there was no truth to fairies ever having magic in our history. What if the story was true? The story, as Skye remembers it, went like this:
