They sat there on the couch, the T.V light flickering against their faces. He layed his head back, resting it upon the couch to take a drag of his cigerette. Her warm thigh brushed his, her scent seducing him, and her soft breath coming in a little unevenly as she watched the thriller on the screen. He had a sort of heightened sense of things. The smoke danced up towards the ceiling, and the grip on his arm tightened as she jumped, startled. She never seemed to scream, but she was a jumper for sure. Her hair brushed his neck and he took a quick intake of breath. His head tilted lazily to the side and he couldn't help but notice those soft, round breasts pressed against his arm. He stared at her face, waiting patiently. She would notice soon enough; she always did.
The man on the screen continued down the dark steps into the basement. She knew what was to come, that he would surely find what he was looking for and be too late. All these movies were the same. Her leg brushed the boys next to her and her breath caught in her throat for a moment. This was so typical, she couldn't pay attention with him so close, and yet him distant was far from what she wanted. She peeked up through her bangs at him as he took another drag of his cigerette, and wanted him to share. She wouldn't ask though. A scream came from the T.V and startled her. Her arms instinctively tightened around his but no sound came from her lips as she looked back to the television. She could feel his stare on her body now, her body grew warm with that knowledge, that feeling. Then his eyes were on her face, and she nibbled her bottom lip nervously. He continued to stare, but said nothing. Her heart began to pound faster. She was curious to know if a relationship could last with only this. A burning warm sensation that drove the human body into a frenzy, a need for another body to join with it. She licked her top lip, toying with him. What would happen to the relationship if this frenzy subsided? Her heart beat for him, she breathed because of him. To lose him......oh God. Her head turned slowly to the side, and he smiled that cocky grin that said a million and one things. One was more loud, more clear. He knew what he did to her. Then she looked down, and noticed he was offering the cig to her. She took it, never breaking eye contact and took a drag. Her lips tugging at the corners.
He watched her inhale, seeing the rebellion in her eyes drove him a bit mad on the inside. He licked his lips, she would fight him. That only presented a challenge; and based on instinct alone, he loved it. He gripped her wrist as she went for another drag and pulled the cigerette to his lips, never releasing her and took a drag. The surprise on her face undid him, he took the cancer stick from her and put it out on the coffee table. His eyes watched hers for just a moment. Studying them. His lips had hers in an instant moment of passion, her arms snaking around his neck, body pressing against his. (To be continued......)
