• RIIING !!!It's time for the students' recess. I would feel like smiling (even without a mouth) because I could see high school students getting their food, the food fights, the boisterous laughter, the shouting and so much more blissful moments they could experience during recess time. And, here I am, a plastic cup, with all of my plastic cup friends waiting for someone to get us. We want to serve the students with all of our heart. Yeah, I know that we don't have hearts ... sweatdrop

Ooh ... some students are coming. "Hey, Trish, you're getting an orange juice?", one student asked. "Yeah, I guess I am.", the other responded. I hope they get me ... I hope they get me ... I hope they get me ... Yay! They got me! As this student named Trish walked over to a table with her friends, I was filled with contentment. And, as she drank the orange juice, I felt really blessed.

Recess is over. I just realized that I've got nothing to do anymore. So, I'll just have to stand here on top of the table and wait for the canteen lady to throw me into the garbage can. Please ... canteen lady ... I want to be used again. All my plastic cup friends have been used again and even sanitized! Reuse, reduce, recycle. That should be everyone's motto.

    ---

That's weird. Not even one canteen personnel is throwing me and it looks like that I'm the only one here not thrown properly. WHOOSH! Ack! The wind blew me! Oh, I'm here on the floor ... But, I can't get up on the table again. WHOOSH! I'm being blown again! This is so annoying! And, as I'm being blown away, I'm also getting farther from the table I was on and into the corner.

    ---

I can't believe I've been in this corner for hours. RIIING !!! And, I guess it's their lunchbreak now. Since, it's lunchbreak I wish that someone wou --- OUCH! Someone kicked me. Was that on purpose or was it accide --- OUCH! That hurts! (How could a plastic cup experience pain? @.@) Don't they realize that I'm down here?! Hello?! Like, could someone notice me?! As I was kicked and as I rolled farther and farther away from the canteen, I felt like something bad is going to happen ... to me ...

A kid got me. I can see his eyes filled with happiness and glee. But, then his eyes turned into something playful.

He ripped my body and I turned to shreds. He ripped and ripped me while he talked to his friends. And, as he let me go, I felt my body torn to pieces. The wind blew again. Some of my pieces were carried on by the wind to other parts of the area. And, as I lay on the ground, I looked up at the sky, felt its vastness and wished that no plastic cup should have the same fate I experienced. I was shredded ... all my hopes have been shredded ... From the day I was born in the plastic cup factory, down to the grocery store and down to this canteen. My purpose ... has been left ... unaccomplished ...
