- I left for school, and I was late for english class. I ripped out my trigonometry homework and furiously started writing. "Rayn?" I looked up my hazel eyes meeting the unwanted stare of Mr.Blanching. "Ummmm the? Yes the answer is the!" Then I looked at the board. Oops. The answer was an. My best friend Chad tried to muffle a laugh as he realized I had finally figured out the answer. I tried glaring at him, but I had to admit that I did happen to think it was funny too. I shot Chad a look of gratefullness as he gave me his trig homework. Mr.Blanching didn't seem to notice. "Rayn, do you take pride in being my least favorite student?" I had to break the uneasyness. I had to say something-"No m'am." Everybody broke into laughter. Of course. I sighed and went back to my trig homework. Then the loud, peircing bell rang. I hurried out the door before Mr.Blanching could say anything. Chad caught up to me. I handed him his trig homework. "I heard about your problems with the police. What happened?" I sighed. I knew I would have to tell chad sooner or later. But as soon as I opened my mouth, Valencia came up behind me and started braiding my hair. "I love your hair Rayn! I wish I had natural black hair. I wish my skin was darker like yours. I wish I could put a purple strip in my hair too. I wish-" Chad interupted her. "Is there anything you don't wish for?" Valencia glared at him. "I would say no, but I was about to wish you would go away." I sighed. Chad and Valencia had been at it since Pre-K, ever since they got married, and Chad had dumped her, because he had liked another girl named Amelia. Okay, taht was actually my fault. Valencia was my friend, and she had liked Chad, so I gave him my cookies at lunch time if he would marry her. But Valencia still doesn't know that, so lets keep that our little secret." I sighed "And a good day to the both of you too. Look Val, me and Chad have to go to Trig, but I will see you at lunch, okay?" Me and Chad walked to trig, him chattering all the way. We finally arrived and sat in our assigned seats. Mrs. Romana told us to trade our homework. I traded with Paul Chancer. She gave us the awnsers. I got my paper back. Mrs.Romana came by to record grades and then-"YOU GOT EVERY SINGLE ONE WRONG?" I was pretty sure people in Turkey could hear her. Quigley, excuse......."Did I mention Sharlene helped me, cause she did!" I glared at Chad. He gave me an apologetic smile. But I knew he was laughing so hard.
