• Everything was in slow motion. The arrow was now a blurr racing towards his heart. He stood there in shock. *IDIOT!!!* You
    screamed in your head. "MOVE INUYASHA!" You screamed. He didnt budge. Your adrenaline pumped and you did what you thought
    was the right thing to do at the time. "INUYASHA! NO!!!!!!" You threw yourself in front of him.
    There's a loud thud and a cracking sound.
    Your world went black.
    Silence.
    *Kagome...Kagome...*
    A faint, muffled voice came from above you.
    Who was calling your name?
    Where were you?
    What was going on?
    One word finally came to you...*Inuyasha* You struggle to regain consciousness. *Inuyasha! Inuyasha!* you scream in your head.
    A sudden wave of pain brought you fully into consciousness. "Inu-ya-sha-a?" you whisper. Inuyasha jumps, picks you up and runs.
    "Hang on Kagome! I'll get you to Kaede!!" You interrupt him. "I don't think I can hold on for much longer Inu-ya-sha" You cringe.
    "Ahh! I-n-u-y-a-s-h-a!!!" You moan. Inuyasha stops dead in his tracks. "KAGOME! Hold on" You look up at him. " I...love you...
    Inuyasha...find...peace-I" Inuyasha interrupts. "NO! Don't you DARE try to say your goodbyes just yet!!!" You smile sweetly at
    him but cringe as a wave of pain overcomes you. You strain for air. "*gasp* Urgh! INUYASHA!!!" Panic crosses his face.

    **Found myself today,
    oh I found myself and ran away...**

    "Kagome!What is it???" tears run down your cheeks from the intese pain. "I-it hurts!!!...." You strain to get more oxygen onto your lungs
    but cry even more. "It hurts...to b-breathe!!!" Inuyasha shakes his head feverishly. "NO KAGOME!!! DON'T LET GO OF ME!!"
    You catch your breath and cup your hand around his cheek. You smile sweetly. "My sweet Inuyasha..."

    **But something pulled me back, a voice of reason I forgot I had**

    Inuyasha whines your name tears streaming warm down his tanned cheeks as he held you in his strong arms. "Oh gods no, Kagome-e!!"

    **All I know is yesterday is gone, and right now I belong, to this moment to my dreams**

    You retract your hand and cringe in pain. Inuyasha jumps a bit.
    "Kagome..." he breaks out in an all out sprint to attempt to get you back to Kaede so she can tend to your wounds.

    **So I won't give up, no I won't break down, sooner than it seems life turns around**

    After about 30 minutes of running, you reach the village, but your will to live ebbed away slowly. Inuyasha was in a frenzy
    trying to find Kaede. "Inu-ya-sha-a?" you moan. "Hold on Kagome! Ive got her scent!" He breaks out into a sprint again.
    He looks down at you, eyes shut, and fists clenched into a ball, grabbing his kimono for release of pain. "Almost there
    Kagome. Don't you give up on me." He says softly. "Inuyasha, I can't...hold on...much...longer..." Inuyasha cringed. "NO!
    Don't talk like that Kagome!!!" He held you even closer to him. He reached Kaedes hut. "Lady Kaede! Lady Kaede! Help me!!!"
    He cried. With out an answer he laid you down on the mat in front of him, took off his kimono top and laid it over you.
    He then proceeded to kneel down beside you. "It's alright Kagome, your safe now. Wake up, were here."
    No response.
    "Ka-Kagome?" he reached over to touch your hand but the second it did, he yanked it away.
    *she's...she's freezing!*
    "Kagome???!!!" *no, she can't be...*
    "Kagome?!!!!!"
    He watched and waited for the rise and fall of your breathing but it never came.
    "KAGOME!!!!!"
    He threw his arms around your lifeless frame and held you close trying to keep the connection between you together.
    "NO! NO DON'T LEAVE ME KAGOME!!! PLEASE!!!" He sobbed into your hair that once shone a sparkling jet black in the sun, but
    was now a dull charcoal black.

    **And I will be strong, even when it all goes wrong, when i'm standin' in the dark i'll still believe...**

    "Inuyasha..." your voice echoed. His ears flicked, as he lifted his head slowly, revealing his wet blushed face. "Kagome?"
    He turns around and there you stood, beautifully wrapped in an angelic glow. your body was transparent and your hair flew
    wildly around your head. You smiled. "Inuyasha...please, don't cry. We lived a happy life, you and I. But now it is time for
    me to leave you, the gods are calling me, calling me to go with them. I love you Inuyasha. From the day we met, and for an
    eternity. I shall wait for you on the other side, my sweet Inuyasha." you started to fade and float upwards but Inuyasha
    spoke out. "K-kagome..." He whispered, bangs covering his eyes. "Kagome...I-...I love you as well. I don't want to live a
    life without you. Please don't leave me." You smiled and floated back down gently and landed neatly on your knees mere
    inches from his face. You brush his silver bangs away from his golden-honey eyes. "Oh, Inuyasha, I will always be with you
    in your heart." you lifted his chin and kissed him sweetly on the lips. There was a twinkling sound coming from above you
    and you look up. "I must leave to be with the gods. They have invited me to be amongst them. I love you Inuyasha, never
    forget that, or me." Inuyasha nods. Your transparent body dissipates into a shimmering gold aura and floats up to the heavens.
    "I will be with you soon, my beautiful Kagome..."
    He looked up at the stars and a heart aligns in the cosmos.
    Inuyasha smiles.
    "...Kagome..."

    **Someone's watching over me**
