“Alright, so we all know what to do, right?” Jack Skellington asked. “Yeah!” Everyone else said in unison. “Now, let’s review the checklist” he said, pulling out a notepad and pencil. “Fireworks-” “Check!” Kat said. Jack quickly jotted down a checkmark. “Stink bombs-” “Check...” muttered Ryan. “Knives-” “Check”. The list went on. “Ok, we’re ready. It’s time for Halloween” Jack said, with a malicious grin that spread ear-to-ear. “Sweet” commented Kat.
With the tap of a button, the garage door hiding the three little kids opened. They all watched as the little boys and girls ran door to door, as the pale and large full moon seemed to watch them from behind the gray clouds. The three stepped out, side by side, like the trio they had always been. “Are the booby traps on the house set?” Jack queried Ryan. “Yeah...” they then marched out, each carrying a spooky torn up black bag on their backs. Though, they weren’t for holding candy. “Hey!” Kat quietly exclaimed, poking the two of them. “Someone’s about to ring the houses doorbell already!” They all quickly hid behind a bush, and watched as they neared the house. “Trick or-” the moment the boy touched the doorknob, a camouflaged door mounted cannon spewed out realistic bats and real cobwebs, and the little boy keeled over, his mouth agape with fright. “Oh man, we nailed you!” Kat screeched, trying to catch her breath after laughing so hard.
“I think we should use that decoy house plan first...” Ryan quietly stated. “Good idea, we should use that one over there. It’s got almost no decorations. We need to teach them a lesson” Jack said, pouting childishly. They quickly put up some detour signs, saying things like ‘candy this way’ and ‘trick or treat!’ in front of the house. The only 8-year-old girl (which was really the same age as Jack Ryan and Kat) read the signs and wheeled in the opposite direction, with the houses door to her back. Jack and Ryan silently crept out of some hedges with horrid and terrifying bloody masks, as Jack tapped her on the shoulder. Right as she turned, Ryan moved behind her to steal her bag of candy, and she was none the wiser. “AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!” She screamed, jumping out of her skin from seeing Jack. When she turned, Ryan was behind her, just as planned. She screamed once more, and almost fainted. Though Ryan was still silent, Jack was on the floor falling to pieces. “You forgot your candy” he teased. Kat came our of the hedge, still laughing and wiping a tear from her eye. “That was nice” she said, still giggling. “Now theres part two” Ryan stated. “Right. Back in the bush you two! And give me that mask Jack!”
