When war spreads, there is nothing one can do except head straight through the fire and the pain. When lives are in danger, there's nothing one can do but keep fighting. One must first understand this before one can even think to fight.
But to fight, to kill, can that really count as help? Why does letting the bloodlust take you get such praise, while the ones you claim and enemies are simply doing the same thing? Evil is just an idea, no different from the idea of righteousness or goodness. Each side believes that they are fighting for the good of their people, or at least their society, and neither wants to admit that they may be wrong. It's this idea that causes war, causes death, causes pain.
So then, why do we believe in these ideas? Why do we give in to the bloodlust? Why do we fight? That is one question that can not be answered. It is human nature to challenge the way of things, to better ourselves in the view of others. But, my friends, it is not in human nature to lend our assistance to one in need unless we can find some way to better ourselves so doing. Explain that.

- Title: The Wartime Nonesuch
- Artist: Daughter of Elves
- Description: I wrote this one day while sitting through a boring practice Model Un Debate and wondering to myself why a bunch of stuck up high-class aristocrats can be trusted in to solve the problems of the world, when all around us they are simply getting worse and worse.

- A long time ago, I became aware of the concept of war. That it meant there was a person in an office somewhere, who thought that, somehow, sending people to their most assured deaths would be worth it. It was at that point, that I became embarrassed to call myself human.
