I'm afraid I have to disagree with what Lady Hetfield said earlier about Geisha not wearing hair ornaments. They do, they wear kanzashi in their hair, although compared to the apprentice Geisha, the Maiko, the amount of kanzashi is small.
Although I think you should work on the proportions a bit, the details are truly exquisite, congratulations on having a great skill like drawing! - Report As Spam

- Right, we get it. You don't like Memoirs of a Geisha cause it doesn't portray the Japanese art form correctly. I found that out to. Just because you don't like it don't mean you have to take it out on the drawing. I thought the movie was excellently thought out and the book was amazing. A good read. Actually, with what i researched Geisha's aren't prostitutes but they are allowed to accept sex for money to pay of there debt; apparently. This drawing does NOT look like a Korean wore!! 5/5 (: <3

- Not to mention, they have a widows peak, and what you've drawn hear looks more like a korean whore than a Japanese person of art, b/c that's what a geisha is- they sing, dance, and play instruments but thats about it. A geishas eyebrows would be thicker bc they paint them red, same with the tips of their eyes and their lips.

- Just to go ahead and tell you- this looks nothing like a real Geisha- that horrible movie is completely innacurate and portrays geisha as prostitutes when it is completely untrue, her makeup is all wrong and the only time they would have a fan would be in a dance, and they hardly ever have the umbrellas, and their hair never falls out like this plus a real Geisha would never wear an ornament to show maturity.
